Being an engineer and an analytical person certainly has its challenges, but it also brings a
unique perspective and problem-solving skills to every situation. This week at Owl Chiropractic I want to shout out to our fellow nerds, our engineers, our analytical why patients, our rhyme and reasons boys and girls, our Ricks.
Rick started with Owl Chiropractic back in 2019. He was referred to us by his PCP at Penn
Health. He was new to the area and dealing with migraines and visual abnormalities. He had
been a patient of chiropractic previously; however, the methods used to locate a subluxation
never seemed to satisfy his analytical personality.
At Owl Chiropractic, we use the Pierce Results System to analyze, find, and correct subluxations. Coming from a heavy science and research background, when I found this method of subluxation correction it was a no-brainer to me that this is how I wanted to practice and the level of care I wanted to bring to my patients.
The ability to show a patient on a motion X-ray the biomechanical dysfunction of a joint and pair it with an infrared thermal scan showing the physiological dysfunction takes any guesswork out of where the root problem is.
According to Rick, “No other practices employed techniques such as scan - adjust - scan. As an engineer, I was quite attracted to the targeted adjustments and positive feedback achieved through the scanning process.”
Rick put his time in as an engineer and is retired now. He and his wife love to travel! He also loves being active, working out, and cycling. He understands the importance of healthy aging and wants to age gracefully so he can continue to do all the things he loves.
He is always curious! He asks us questions and wants to continuously work towards better health. He gets the big picture of chiropractic and the power of the nervous system. He loves getting his spine and extremities adjusted. We manage his arthritis in his wrists and thumbs so he can continue putting on those miles!
We love working with him as we get to nerd out and discuss subluxation patterns within patterns of thermal scanning. Or the advancements made with the Vstarr adjusting instruments and what it will do for chiropractic research.
Most patients are just happy they are feeling better and don't need to know why, but for our Ricks we've got your back here at Owl Chiropractic.
